Tradle.Back to cards

THE TRADING TABLE · FINANCE PREVIEW

A fair swap.
A clear price.

See what each collector would pay and what Tradle would earn. Change the draft figures to find a sensible balance.

Planning only. No checkout, payment, subscription or payout is connected. These are proposed GBP prices, not an offer to buy a service.

Use 0 for a cards-only swap. Cash examples: £5–£5,000. Card values and postage are excluded.

Deducted from the cash recipient. Cards-only swaps keep a fixed fee in either model.

A sends the cash; B receives it. Pro membership is extra (draft £5.99 monthly / £59.99 annually). Percentage-only cash examples waive both fixed exchange fees.

Planning assumptions

This selection does not determine tax liability. An accountant must confirm Tradle’s position. Estimate uses standard UK cards (1.5% + 20p per charge), one payout per cash trade (0.25% + 10p), £2 monthly active-seller cost spread over these trades, and a hypothetical 1% cash risk allowance. Actual card, cross-border, refund, dispute, tax and provider charges differ. This allowance is not insurance.

How money would move

  1. Agree the exact trade. Both collectors see the fee, cash amount and delivery terms before committing.
  2. Pay through an approved provider. Seller verification and payment checks happen before dispatch. No Tradle wallet or person-to-person cash transfers.
  3. Track both parcels. A card-for-card trade has two delivery obligations. A cash refund cannot return a missing physical card.
  4. Release eligible funds. Delivery, inspection, unresolved issues and provider rules determine release. No automatic release from a browser button.

Provider approval, real evidence uploads, staffed dispute handling, legal terms and tax setup are still required. No protection or escrow service is being promised.

Refund and dispute proposal

Before dispatch, a fully cancelled exchange would return the full cash payment and Tradle fees. For an agreed partial cash adjustment, return the same proportion of all Tradle fees on that cash exchange, using cumulative penny rounding. Applicable rights may require more. Never refund both sides as if each paid the same cash amount. Processor fees may remain Tradle’s cost. A cash refund does not settle ownership or return of the cards.

An issue would pause an unreleased transfer for staff review. A card-network chargeback can still arrive after a payout and create a platform loss. Independent dispute services are not appointed. Nothing removes consumer rights or Tradle’s own duties.
